I ordered this along with a 2gb module to speed up my iMac intel core 2 duo. It was the late '06 model and will only hold 3072mb of memory and I had read that matching two 2gb won't give you much more speed over using 3gb (1gb + 2gb).
This module fit perfectly, didn't have any problems with installation. Clicked right in. Plus it was cheaper then other brands I had looked at. |

Compatibility |
| Comments: |
This goes with both memory upgrades I purchased.
When both are installed on my computer, I am not able to get an image on screen. I then tried the 2GB by itself and am able to get a monitor, but not able to maximize my memory as originally intended. Are the two cards (1GB and 2GB) not compatible??? The reason I ask is, when I received my first delivery, the 1GB worked with the existing 512K card, but not with the 2GB. You all then sent me a replacement 2GB, which works by itself, but not with either other card. (1GB or original 512K) Any suggestions?
I currently am using only the 2GB since that is better than the 512K I had. Only problem is, I have a 1GB that is of no use to me unless otherwise suggested.
Thank you,
Michael |
