Works like a charm. 4x 1gb memory boards made a sluggish Acer into a nice machine. The upgrade was simple. Pop out the existing RAM chip. Insert the 4 new ones, restart the computer and it recognized the new memory straight away. |

I ordered the 2GB Dell Dimension E521 desktop memory 2x 1GB 311-6407 PC2-6400 240-PIN DDR2 800MHz PC DIMM upgrade from the web not knowing much about the company I was buying from. The order process was very reasonable and my item arrived in good shape. My old computer was rejuvinated with this upgrade. I notice the biggest difference in startup and memory intensive load times. I had a decent computer prior to upgrading but am very pleased with my ability to run top end games with very few load time issues.

My computer would take nearly 20 to start up and load my profile. Now I'm up and running in 90 seconds. I know it sounds like an exagerration, but I swear it's not. I actually timed it. This was a great investment, for $30 (including shipping and handling) my ready for the trash heap computer is running like new. |

Your memory selection tool did not offer this product for my PC (a Dell Dimension 8400), only something slower. I went ahead and ordered it anyway, based on some information I got from Dell. Liked the gold contact fingers (have seen some that are only tin). After memory arrived, installed and tested it using Microsoft's memory test tool. So far, everything checks out! |
