Just installed the 2 modules and doing a burning test. Installation was really easy and took less than 5 minutes. The system recognised the whole RAM automatically. I recently noticed that the speed on my Toshiba M7 was declining and my useage was increasing. In reviewing the memory capacity of the laptop, I found I could increase from 1 gigabyte to 4 gigabytes! Yahoo! It would have to make a difference!
Not being very high on the techie chart, I researched the idea to paralysis, and came to Pro Memory Upgrade. The web site was helpful in deciding what to do and how to order it. The process was easy. The only area I was disappointed in was lack of specific instructions on installing the upgrade.
I ended up taking the memory and laptop to Best Buy and had them install the memory for under $30. Another point is that the upgrade at Best Buy would have been nearly twice what it was with Pro Memory Upgrade!
End result is the computer is lightning fast, performing better than new and I could not say enough about the ease of ordering, order followup and delivery from Pro Memory Upgrade. Thank you and I'll be back on future upgrades! |

I would thank you for this DDR2 at 2GB Ram suitable for my portable laptop Acer one. Had it installed in it and removed from 1GB. Finding its Super Fast Download. Lucky I found this website as its correctly model for my Portable Laptop. I noticed some people buying it from Ebay, They said not Supporting of different branding of Rams. Must have specific model list to suitable before to buy.

The cards snapped right in and my computer worked fine right away. I upgraded from 1gig total (2x512mg) memory to 4gigs total (2x2gig) memory. The only issue I have is that the stuff I had read on the internet was true, even though I put 4gigs in Windows Vista only recognizes 3gigs of avalible memory. If I upgrade to Windows 7 that should change. I had read that the issue is with Vista 32bit OS and the jump to 7's 64bit OS will solve it. My laptop does run a lot hotter with the expanded memory. I feel I got the best value with these cards, they were a few dollars less than other brands and the free shipping was nice.

The module is fine...however. I was charges S&H TWICE bc that was the only way the modules could be ordered. However, they were shipped together. My complaint is obviously not that they were shipped together, but that I had to be charged for 2 separate S&H in the first place when there was only one. EZ upgrade. PRO's interactive menu helped me select the right memory for my used iMac and I had it within a week. Installation instructions were straight forward. Whole installation process only took about 10 minutes and the biggest part of that was disconnecting the iMac's cables, moving to a suitable workplace and reconnecting everything up. 2 screws and 2 minutes to pop in 2 Gigs. BIG DIFFERENCE in performance of my VMware Fusion virtual machine which I used to run some other OS apps. No problems with memory since installation. |

I was excited to use the suggested upgrade but was surprised that the performance was spotty, at best. The screen now flickers with image intensive files, websites that use flash are not as stable, and at times, the overall performance decreased speed. However, there are times when the laptop is stellar.
Overall, the upgrade is now making me think of going back to the original factory 2GB set up and find another alternative. I was looking for consistency in performance but not found it in this chip.

I ordered 2 x 2GB 533MHz RAM chips from Pro Memory for my wife's Toshiba Tecra A8 laptop. This memory replaced a single 512mb chip that came standard in the laptop. The order arrived quickly, and the memory was easy to install. The speed of the laptop is vastly improved, and the price of the memory was very inexpensive. I am impressed with the service provided by Pro Memory Upgrade and will use them again. |

The Good and The Bad |

Lets see where to start, ordering the memory was easy and it shipped pretty decent and on time. Now when I received the memory one stick worked and the other one didn't had to send back one memory stick for a RMA but here's where the fun begins. Here comes the bad, getting hold of someone to send back one memory stick was a task and I mean a task! Had to leave a message eventually someone called me back to where we could do a RMA on one memory stick and to boot had to pay for my own shipping for the return. Now the good, they replaced the defected memory stick with a new one and mailed it with no problem and it works in a netbook now that runs with 2GB of memory. the reason I give it three stars is the defected memory stick and the lack of customer service right off the bat, but like I said they did replace it. The reason I order 4GB of memory was for a family member that was visiting for the holidays and always travels with her laptop that has vista on it and only came with 1GB of memory. So she needed the upgrade bad, but of coarse I could only put 2GB in the laptop because one memory stick was bad. The next thing I had to do was buy another stick of memory locally which was costly just to complete the upgrade while she was in town for Christmas. Still did the RMA on the memory but was stuck with a extra 2GB module which eventually went into a netbook for another relative. So good luck with the purchase at our own risk! |

I upgraded my memory on one of my laptops from 2GB to 4GB with the PRO memory. This was for my Toshiba Satellite A215 that I use to surf the net with around the house. I bought two 2GB Ram modules and install was a two minute task. It uses PC2-5300 200 PIN DDR2 667 Mhz small outline DIMM. I received the product fast and it came in a static shield bag that was a very nice touch. Now I can use my laptop to its full potential. |
