Review of 4GB Dell Inspiron Memory Upgrade |

It is not often a consumer gets to thank an American (CA) company for actually completing a purchase as promised, but I can safely state that PRO Memory Upgrade is a "Class Act." After I completed a fresh install of Win 7 Pro 64 on my 3GB Dell Inspiron 1525, it was time to get up to the maximum of 4GB. Would you believe that DELL originally used a 2GB Samsung and a 1GB Hyundai - not too inspiring. DELL resents anyone messing with their laptops as installed, and offers no customer support because after a purchase they do not want to be bothered again. Someday I hope to move up to HP, which I believe gives more for the money. My two upgrade chips from PRO Memory arrived in 3 days, right here in CA, and I immediately plugged them in and rebooted. My laptop awoke, recognized its new intelligence, and seemed to say, "Thanks, Ray..." All this after I spent a month fighting the evil "Black Screen of Death" - caused by Microsoft forcing 85 updates on my original install. I have learned more about computers in the past month than I ever believed possible, and every day I try to learn something new, to keep my DELL safe and healthy.

recieved and installed memory works amazing. for some reason they always install way too little memory, i believe it ntakes at least 1 gig to run vista ....so.... what does it really take to run windows 7? anyways the computer runs great now thanks. |
