I had 2x2GB RAM on HP Pavilion DV4, and I upgraded one of them with 4GB. It seems to me that it is working a little bit better, smoother, and faster than before. I am satisfied with my upgrade. I do not think I need to upgrade for 8GB, It is expensive. I would deal with it until I save more and buy a stronger computer. |

The laptop memory was shipped within the qouted (advertised) time. It was professionally packaged and shipped accordingly. Upon receipt and installation of the memory my Toshiba Satellite P505D-S8980 recognized it immediately. It has enabled me to max out my ram on this laptop to 8GB under Win 7. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend PROmemory upgrade to anyone. I hope to use them for any of my future memory needs. |

My Toshiba notebook came with 6GB of DDR2 800MHz, but I felt it needed 8GB so I ordered A 4GB module to replace the 2GB module. This now gives me 8GB total memory, that works great.
I made my purchase from PRO MEMORY UPGRADE, got promt service, followed instructions and am happy with my choice. No problems with purchase or intallation. Didn't have contact customer service, everything went smothely. |

Thanks for the followup. I've installed it and it seems to work fine. Nice to have the extra ram!
You were the only source I could find for it too ...all the others seemed to have sets of 2 2gig sticks which wouldn 't have done any good.
The only thing that concerns me is the standard terms and conditions sheet that came with it. It states the seller isn't responsible for warranty, but doesn't say who the manufacturer is or how I would go about getting it replaced if it failed.
That's a little scary, since by the time it got here with Canadian taxes added it was about $220.00.
If you could clarify that for me I'd appreciate it.
For now I'll rate a 3 but will upgrade that to a 5 if you can give me the warranty information and instructions to follow if something goes wrong. I think all the other memory sticks I've purchased in the past came with lifetime warranties ...not that I'd ever needed one replaced since they too soon seem too small anyway.

I purchased this memory to enhance the memory of my HP Pavilion Laptop. This Laptop has a normal memory max of 2Gb but with its Dual Core AMD processor and Vista 64 bit program it will address 8GB and a consequental increase in processing power/ running several programs at one time.
I have also tried it in my MSI (HDMI) Which has a dual core Intel processor and it works wellalso allowing 8 GB of memory to be addressed in it's two memory slots (like the HP) |
